Colombo Dockyard flies sri lankan flag at eurooport 2021 – rotterdam
Marketing team of Colombo Dockyard (CDPLC) participated as an exhibitor at Europort 2021 held at brand new Rotterdam Ahoy Convention Center, Rotterdam. Joining with ESMA, the agents for CDPLC for Benelux region, CDPLC got the opportunity to meet their regular clients and make couple of new developments of the shipyard for 4 days from 2nd to 5th November 2021.
CDPLC had the opportunity to meet the giants in the industry in Benelux region and potential fleets to introduce the facilities and capabilities available in Colombo Dockyard which strategically located on a world’s busiest marine trade route which connects eastern and western worlds. Colombo Dockyard opened a branch office at port of Trincomalee on the same day the exhibition started so the good message of our new Branch Office at East coast of Sri Lanka, Trincomalee, in addition to port of Hambantota, was announced to all CDPLC’s stakeholders at Europort. CDPLC detailed their strength in afloat repairs with “Rapid Response Afloat Repair facility” at all ports of Sri Lanka which found highly attractive to European shipowners in need of a support in Indian waters.
The exhibition was a participation of 800 maritime companies from 43 countries. Footfall was almost 20,000 high quality visitors from 79 countries. It is the first major event after two years, especially after Covid Pandemic which allowed the clients, suppliers and other stakeholders of the industry to meet face to face which is the most important fact in building relationships. The exhibition was well above the expectation of all the participants and encouraging. During the Europort Covid restrictions were much relaxed for fully vaccinated personals.
